ConnecTeens is a program that matches youth (12-17) with local agencies in need of volunteers to help serve the needs of our community. The program is designed to help young adults gain valuable experience and learn leadership skills while making a positive impact on their communities.
Our Volunteer Matching Process
At Volunteer Ascension, we understand the importance of finding the right fit for our volunteers. That's why we have developed a thorough volunteer matching process to ensure that volunteers are placed in programs that align with their interests, skills, and availability.
Step 1
Find an Agency Partner
The ConnecTeens program works by partnering with local agencies and organizations that need volunteers for community service projects. These projects can range from helping out at local events to working on larger-scale initiatives that have a lasting impact on the community.
Step 2
Match Opportunities Based on Skills & Interests
Once an agency is identified, ConnecTeens works to match young adults with the volunteer opportunities that best fit their skills and interests. This ensures that volunteers are engaged and motivated to make a difference in their communities.

Monitor and Evaluate Volunteer Performance
Finally, ConnecTeens staff work to monitor and evaluate volunteer performance throughout the course of their engagement with the program. This involves tracking volunteer hours, collecting feedback from agencies and organizations, and assessing the impact of volunteer projects on the community.

I have been a part of ConnecTeens since the 8th grade, and every summer it has brought new memories, learning experiences, and friendships. From volunteering at retirement homes to serving at Special Tuesdays, I have had the honor to grow and learn by working with teams, serving, and leading. I am so thankful for my time with ConnecTeens, and I pray that it will continue to prosper for years to come!
